Our Success Model

The McGeralds Business Success Propeller Model guides our SME intervention processes. It ensures that we allocate our efforts and time appropriately to develop entrepreneurs to a point where they can adapt and modify their business models when necessary. By focusing on these four pillars, we maximize the chances of success for SMEs and empower them to achieve sustainable growth and resilience.

We use the Business Success Propella Model to ensure that entrepreneurs are successful in their business ventures. The model attaches prime importance to the entrepreneur who has the vision and drive to make the enterprise successful

At McGeralds, we have developed our own methodology, The McGeralds Business Success Propeller Model, which identifies four pillars in entrepreneurship and their respective contributions to business success:

  1. Entrepreneur (40% contribution): We recognize the entrepreneur as the most significant contributor to business success in any sector. With the right skills and mindset, entrepreneurs can overcome any challenge and seize any opportunity. We understand that no amount of funding can prevent failure or guarantee success if the entrepreneur is not the right fit. Therefore, our selection and development process for entrepreneurs are the most critical components of our programs. We carefully assess the entrepreneurial qualities, passion, and drive of individuals to ensure they have the potential to succeed.
  2. Business Dynamics (30% contribution): Once the entrepreneur possesses the necessary skills, the dynamics of the business become the second most significant contributor to success, representing 30% of overall success. This includes factors such as the business model, market positioning, financial structure, and operational efficiency. We conduct detailed analyses of the businesses we support to understand their past, present, and future prospects. Based on this analysis, we develop a growth plan that focuses on the elements that will have the most impact on the success of the SME. We employ a variety of SME development and structuring processes tailored to suit each individual beneficiary. Our approach is customized, recognizing that each business has unique needs and challenges.
  3. Business Support (20% contribution): We acknowledge the importance of business support services, which contribute 20% towards business success. At McGeralds, we provide crucial support such as business acumen training, mentorship, and services like accounting and audit. We understand that every business, regardless of its size or level of success, requires some form of support and oversight. Through our mentorship programs, we bring together experienced mentors and entrepreneurs, fostering a diverse range of perspectives and ideas. This collaborative approach helps businesses gain clarity in their vision and direction, offering innovative solutions and guidance.
  4. Funding (10% contribution): While funding plays a vital role, we recognize that it is the least significant contributor, representing 10% of overall success. However, funding can be the deciding factor between success and failure when the entrepreneur is right, the business dynamics are optimized, and the business receives adequate support. We assist SMEs in designing an efficient financing structure, considering their specific needs and ensuring they raise the right type and amount of funding suitable for their business. Our focus is on creating a balanced and sustainable financial foundation.
