Programmes Co-ordinator Position Available

McGeralds Entrepreneurship Centre (McGeralds), a leading SME Business Support consultancy specialising in Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) and Socio-Economic Development (SED) facilitation, based in South Africa.

About the Role:

The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of McGeralds’ Enterprise Development (ED), Supplier Development (SD), and Socio-Economic Development (SED) programs. This role involves coordinating stakeholders, managing project timelines, ensuring the effective use of the Propella Technology Platform, and overseeing data collection and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Manage and coordinate relationships with various stakeholders, including SMMEs, corporate partners, implementation teams, mentors, coaches, and beneficiaries.
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
  • Project Management:
    • Develop and maintain project timelines and schedules.
    • Coordinate project activities including travel, venues, accommodation
    • Mobilize resources and tools to ensure timely and quality completion of deliverables.
    • Ensure teams are effective on site and ensure their working conditions are suitable for optimal performance
    • Manage project budgets and resources.
    • Coordinate and ensure reports from different teams and programmes are completed and submitted timeously.
  • Technology Management:
    • Ensure full adoption of the Propella Technology Platform by all user categories.
    • Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of beneficiaries using the Propella Platform.
    • Monitor and support the use of the Propella Platform by program teams.
  • Data Management:
    • Coordinate data collection efforts by program teams.
    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the Propella Platform.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on Propella App adoption and data capture.
  • Internal Projects:
    • Coordinate and manage internal projects and activities of a strategic, tactical, or operational nature.
    • Ensure effective communication and reporting on internal projects.
  • Brand Management:
    • Protect and promote McGeralds’ brand in all projects, internal and external.
    • Ensure all communication and marketing collateral is consistent and represents the McGeralds brand well.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination or project management.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience working with technology platforms, particularly in the context of data management and reporting.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
