Company: McGeralds Entrepreneurship Centre (MEC), a leading SME Business Support consultancy specializing in Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) and Socio-Economic Development (SED) facilitation, based in South Africa.

About the Role:

The Operations Executive will be responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of McGeralds Entrepreneurship Centre (MEC). This role involves overseeing business operations, managing and implementing Enterprise Development (ED), Supplier Development (SD), and Socio-Economic Development (SED) programs, and ensuring the effective utilisation of the Propella Technology Platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Operations:
    • Oversee the overall operations of MEC, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Manage administrative tasks, including office management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Develop and implement systems and processes for operational improvement.
  • Program Management:
    • Manage the implementation of ED, SD, and SED programs within budget and timelines.
    • Ensure full adoption of the Propella Technology Platform for recruitment of beneficiaries, program design, implementation, data collection, reporting, and updates.
    • Monitor program progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Data Management:
    • Oversee data collection and analysis related to program performance.
    • Prepare regular reports on program progress and outcomes.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant data privacy and reporting regulations.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and manage a team of program coordinators and support staff.
    • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, project management, or program implementation.
  • Experience in the field of Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) or Socio-Economic Development (SED) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in using technology tools, including project management software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
