SMME BUSINESS ANALYST VACANCY

McGeralds Entrepreneurship Centre (McGeralds), a leading SME Business Support consultancy specialising in Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) and Socio-Economic Development (SED) facilitation, based in South Africa.

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive individual who is open to learning, and able to multitask and meet deliverables timely. The role involves providing essential business analysis support to the Programme Manager, ensuring that SMMEs receive focused and effective support. This entails analysing SMME data, preparing information packs, and contributing to the development of mentorship and advisory skills.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree:  A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,  Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
  • Experience  (Desirable):  Prior  experience  working  with  small  businesses  or  in  a  business analysis role.

Key Responsibilities:

1    SMME Business Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of SMME data, including qualitative and quantitative data, support documents, and reports.
  • Prepare comprehensive information packs for Programme Managers and Mentors to use in engagements with SMMEs.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date data is captured and analyzed on the McGeralds Propella App.
  • Provide insights and diagnosis of SMMEs to inform targeted support.

2    Data Management:

  • Collect, analyze, and manage SMME data effectively. Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Update the McGeralds Propella App with relevant data for analysis and reporting.

3   Learning and Development:

  • Pursue learning and self-development opportunities to enhance skills. Participate in at least 4 hours of structured training per month.
  • Attend at  least  1  course  per  quarter  related  to  career  development,  SMME,  business,  or strategy.

4   Mentorship and Advisory Skills:

  • Develop mentorship   and advisory skills   through   participation in   mentorship   sessions, masterclasses, and direct engagements with clients.
  • Provide guidance and support to SMMEs based on analysis and insights.

5   Brand Representation:

  • Represent the brand positively in all engagements with SMMEs, stakeholders, and partners. Ensure that interactions align with the organisation’s values and mission.
  • Contribute to building a positive brand image and reputation.

6   General Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned to you.
